Our Journey in Harmony
and Purpose
From humble beginnings to continent-wide ministry, the BACMAC Choir story is one of worship, growth, and impact.
In the Beginning
The BACMAC Choir was founded with inspiration from Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther, the first African Anglican bishop, with a vision to glorify God through sacred music while preserving African Christian heritage. What began as a small group of dedicated singers within the Anglican Communion soon grew into a vibrant choral family, committed to worship, evangelism, and cultural expression.
Over time, the choir became a household name, enriching church celebrations, diocesan events, and public gatherings with performances that were both musical and deeply spiritual. Its annual concerts and festivals showcased a blend of classical, Anglican, and African choral traditions, affirming its role as both guardian of tradition and pioneer of innovation. Today, BACMAC continues to mentor future generations, standing as a testimony to music’s power to unite faith, culture, and community.

Our Journey
Every step of our journey has been marked by God’s faithfulness and our commitment to spreading His love through music.
More Than Music
BACMAC’s growth is not only musical but also spiritual—training ministers, creating family for youth, and being a voice for the voiceless across the African continent.
