From Humble Beginnings to a Beloved Choir
Our Story Begins with a Song
BACMAC Choir is a Christian choral group dedicated to spreading the Gospel through sacred, classical, and African-inspired music. Rooted in the life and legacy of Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther, the first African Anglican bishop, the choir embodies a tradition of worship, discipline, and creativity. Over the years, BACMAC Choir has become known for its inspiring performances at church festivals, diocesan events, state functions, and interdenominational gatherings, leaving lasting impressions through its harmonious and spirit-filled renditions.
More than just a choir, BACMAC is a family of faith, nurturing its members in Christian values, leadership, and community service. With a rich repertoire that spans hymns, chants, oratorios, African spirituals, and original compositions, the choir continues to serve as a beacon of evangelism and cultural expression. Through its annual concerts, festivals, and mentorship of generations of singers and directors, BACMAC Choir remains committed to uplifting souls, preserving heritage, and drawing worshippers closer to God through the transformative power of music.
"It's not just about singing—it's about ministry, family, and purpose."
"Faith is not believing that God can, it’s knowing that He will."
"Music heals the soul when words are not enough."
